Biology is a course that provides you the opportunity to develop process skills, laboratory techniques, and an understanding of the fundamental principles of living organisms. You will explore biological science as a process, cell structure and function, genetics and genetic engineering, heredity, evolution and classification, diversity of living organisms and their ecological roles, and an introduction to plant and animal structure and function. As you can see, there is a lot of material to cover during the school year so we do move at a rapid pace. It is important that you keep up with your work in this class. An end-of-course test (EOC - STAAR) will be administered in May, with objectives covering both semesters. I am incredibly excited to assist you in your learning so that you will have a successful year.
