Mr. Jose Benitez

My name is Jose Benitez and this is my 8th year teaching. This is my 2nd year with the Kruger Team, and I will be teaching band as the Assistant Band Director. Recent accolades include 2022 Teacher of the Year, 2021 TMEA Grant recipient, and 2016 Bandsmen of the Year for UIW Band.
I graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word and received my bachelor's in Music Education EC-12. I believe that music is essential to a person's growth: mentally, physically, and emotionally. I believe that we can learn responsibility, teamwork, self-discipline, and self-expression through Music Education. As a product of NEISD, I look forward to working with the district I grew up in and giving back to the Krueger community. Go Falcons!

During my off time, you can see me playing around town as a Heart of Texas Band member, playing pickleball/basketball, or walking with my dogs.
