These students represent the Reagan High School Red Cross Chapter. As you can probably imagine, the need for their efforts reached an all-time high this past year. In the past few months, the chapter has worked in the community to distribute masks to health centers, collect and distribute food to the San Antonio Food Bank, and create care packages for homeless veterans and military personnel. They took on a new project to provide lessons and presentations to students in Tuscany Heights Elementary School’s KIN program. Via Zoom, they talked to the young students about the importance of volunteer work, service to the community, and how to support local and state representatives during a crisis. They designed the engaging presentations that took place over a period of six weeks. It was a unique way they could continue their efforts and share a passion for community service.
