Audrey and Nada created a DECA Community Awareness Project at Reagan High School.  Their goal was to provide a coping tool for students experiencing anxiety. They named their idea, Project 333.  They created bracelets, with the help of other DECA students, to share with students at their request. The bracelets are hand made with beads of three different colors and an insert explaining the meaning behind the 333. The first bead color reminds students to think of something they can see.  The second bead color reminds students to think of something they can touch. The third bead color reminds students to think of something they can hear. The insert provided encourages the students to work their way through the three different bead colors of the bracelet when they are experiencing anxious thoughts to help ground themselves. The response from the Reagan student body was immediate, with over 50 students coming to the counseling office to request a bracelet. Audrey and Nada have definitely gone above and beyond to help their fellow students.
