Harold Releford

Harold Releford

Harold plays football for Churchill High School, and his relationship with a young student shows a little kindness can go a long way. A 10-year-old boy named Kayden, grieving the recent loss of his mother, was brought to a football game for a fun night out by the Churchill principal who happens to also be a family friend. During the first game Kayden attended, Harold scored a touchdown and came off the field. As he was celebrating with his teammates, he gave Kayden a high five and hug. On the way home, Kayden couldn’t stop talking about how Harold was now one of his favorite football players, along with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Jefferson. As the games came and went, Harold made it a point to talk with Kayden before, during and after each game. Kayden now has a #4 key chain he wears on his backpack to school each day and he tells all his friends at Northern Hills about Churchill football.
