Johnson High School started offering the Practicum of Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security course this year. It is a first of its kind for the District. Unfortunately, finding law enforcement internships for the students proved to be more difficult than imagined. But when Leigh heard about the need, she suggested her husband’s law firm. Ryan and his firm quickly stepped up. They graciously agreed to interview the students to give them the practical experience, and take on several of the students as interns throughout this school year. Both Mr. and Mrs. Henry also connected the instructor to contacts at local municipalities and within the legal community for even more opportunities. Without the Henry’s assistance, many of the students may have gone without formal internships. They have been incredibly supportive throughout the year and made this program a wonderful real-world experience for our students.
