Ms. Young

I am an alumnus of North East Independent School District (Go Riders Go!). I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master's in Secondary Education from Texas State University.

As an eighth-year teacher, I am delighted to continue being a part of Tex Hill family, which strives to ignite curiosity and inspire a love for learning in our students. I serve as one of the 6th-grade World Cultures teachers and Girls' Athletics coach for 8th-grade girls' "A-Team" basketball and 8th-grade girls' soccer. Before teaching, I worked at an engineering firm in Windcrest, Texas.

Coming from a large family, I love spending time with family and friends. I enjoy traveling, exploring museums of all types, playing basketball, watching movies, and learning!
As a teacher, my goal is for students to gain an appreciation for cultures around the world and develop habits that promote civic responsibility in a democratic society and interdependent world.
