Ms. Young

My name is Angela Young. I am an alumnus of North East Independent School District (Go Riders Go!). I earned a Bachelor of Arts in geography from Stephen F. Austin State University; I earned a Master's in Secondary Education from Texas State University.

As a sixth year teacher, I am excited to be a part of the Tex Hill family. I serve as one of the 6th grade World Cultures teachers and Girls' Athletics coach. Additionally, I am the 8th grade girl's "A-Team" basketball coach and 7th grade girls' soccer coach. Prior to teaching, I worked at an engineering firm in Windcrest, Texas.

I am the fourth of five children and absolutely love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy traveling, exploring museums of all types, playing basketball, movies, and learning new things!

As a teacher, my goal is for students to gain an appreciation for cultures around the world and develop habits that promote civic responsibility in a democratic society and interdependent world.
