Miss Martinez

Hi everyone! My name is Sandra Martinez. I am a certified Special Education teacher with a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin and a MFA from Yale University. I have been teaching for 10 years, primarily in the middle school level. My passion is teaching struggling students, including students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and emotional disturbances. My favorite part about teaching is watching students blossom into becoming more productive and independent students while developing positive habits that will make them contributing community members. This year, I am teaching grades 6, 7, 8 in the Alternative Learning Environment (ALE) classroom at the best middle school in all of San Antonio, Tex Hill Middle School. I am grateful to be surrounded by a wonderful team who really have a heart for all students and look forward to spending many more years at Tex Hill Middle School.
