Welcome to Tex Hill Middle School, Home of the Tex Hill Tigers! I am your child's eighth grade ELAR teacher, Christie Pannkuk. I have taught 20 years at the middle school level in North East ISD and now begin my 9th year at Tex Hill. I am blessed to have helped open the school in 2014! As a former North East student and graduate (Madison High School), I feel fortunate to work in the district where I grew up as a student.

I love teaching ELAR (English Language Arts and sponsoring UIL Spelling along with our annual Spelling Bee. Moreover, I'm excited about inspiring young writers and readers to express themselves in an encouraging, safe learning environment. My goal for my students is to increase their writing skills and fall in love with the books they're reading. I look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence and appreciate the opportunity to assist your child in his or her educational growth this school year. We will work hard to prepare for high school and beyond graduation.

I have two amazing sons, a wonderful husband, and one dog. We love hiking in the mountains or around S.A and the Hill Country, trying out Texas barbecue hot spots, watching Texas high school and college football, and relaxing on the Guadalupe River. Additionally, I enjoy yoga, shopping, traveling, reading, baking, music, and playing the piano.
