I attended UTSA and graduated in 2002 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in reading. This is my 22nd year teaching, and I have taught grades 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th. I have taught in SAISD for five years and JISD for five years.  For the last 11 years, my home was Woodstone Elementary in NEISD.  

I am married and have two kids: a seventh grader and a college kid. I have four dogs as well. Life is never dull! 

I am so excited to embark on this new journey into middle school.  It is something I have wanted for a long while, but I didn't feel quite ready.  I am definitely ready now!  I have a passion for English Language Arts and Reading, so I know this is the place I am supposed to be!
