I am a 6th grade Reading and English teacher who loves to read and write. Although it's only my third year at Jackson Middle School, I have over twenty years of combined experience in the education field. I believe that middle school is my calling. Being a very influential time in a student's life, I hope to motivate students to learn and always be their best-- in the choices they make and putting forth their best efforts. I also hope to instill a love of learning and respect for education that creates lifelong learners. I strive to learn every day and to always be my best self.

I'm a mother of three, my children being my first students and biggest supporters! I'm very family oriented and feel that the teachers and students are my extended family. I value learning and passing on knowledge to create awareness of important societal matters, such as environmental sustainability, equality and acceptance, and honoring cultural values/traditions. 

I'm honored to have the opportunity to be an influential part of all of my students' education and future!
