I enjoy teaching at Garner Middle School. Every year is an exciting year of teaching. I look forward to meeting new students, learning new lessons, overcoming any challenges, and expecting many successes.
I started my teaching career with North East ISD as a substitute teacher from 1991 through 2004.
My first teaching position was 8th grade Reading in 2004. I had wonderful students and four great years.
I then moved into ESL 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and Recents (6-8) in 2008. I had a great mentor and friend, Janis Erwin, help me learn all about ESL.
My current focus is teaching 8th grade ESL/ELAR to students who have not attained advanced or higher in TELPAS reading.
I am a graduate of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. There I met my husband and had my first child.
I love teaching, and I certainly consider Garner Middle School the best place to teach and learn!

Me da mucho gusto de ser maestra en la escuela Garner. Soy maestra de lectura a estudiantes que no an avancado a alto en el examen de TELPAS de lectura.
Cada ano es muy emocionante para mi. Me da gusto conocer mis nuevos estudiantes, aprender lecciones nuevas, sobrevencer obstaculos, y esperar muchas victorias.
