Dear Garner 8th Grade Basketball Players and Parents,
The 2019-2020 basketball season is here! Here are a few important things that you need to be aware of. Each athlete must complete an entire current physical paperwork ONLINE and complete forms before he is allowed to practice and compete in any sport, which is good for an entire year. You must print and take the NEISD- physical examination and medical history forms with you to your (Doctors) appointment.
We will need the online forms to be filled out online at http://northeastisd.rankonesport.com. This will help us save time and paper while also giving us the most accurate information regarding your son/daughter.
- Go to http://northeastisd.rankonesport.com and select Electronic Participation Forms.
- Select Middle School.
- Input your student’s ID WITHOUT preceding 0’s along with your student’s last name and first name. You will also select the 2019-2020 school your student is attending. This information must match EXACTLY what is found in your student’s records with the district.
- Once the student records are matched, you may begin filling out the forms. At the end of the forms, you can have a copy of the forms emailed to you.
- Once the Participation Forms are complete, please print a Medical History and Physical Form to take to your doctor. This is found under Printable Forms on the webpage. Once complete, please return the form to your coach. Always keep a copy for your records.
Here is a location besides your personal doctor or Texas Med Clinic, where you may take your son.
*$15 Athletic Physicals - Dr. Vicki Rickerson, 8601 Village Dr., Suite 100, (210) 646-7227 - ** (You must call for an appointment)**
NOTE: 8th Grade A & B Team Basketball practices will be from 3:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. every school day.
8th Go Team will practice on Monday’s and Tuesday’s from 3:45-5:30 with Coach Schrader.
All 8th basketball athletes must be picked up from Garner at 5:35 p.m., in front of the school from practice or plan to carpool with another athlete. Those players that cannot be picked up on time from practice on a continual basis may be subject to suspension or dismissal from the team. Just a reminder that your son does not have to be in athletics class to participate in basketball or any other sport. If we can be of any help to you or your son, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
