Ms. Jones Hinds

Welcome to my teacher page and ESL recent arrivals/ SOL 6th grade!  My name is Ericka Jones Hinds, also Ms. Hinds.  I have been in the field of education since 2005 where I worked as a paraprofessional in Sierra Vista, Arizona. I started my educational journey working with children who had special needs and little did I know, while pregnant at the time, that I would have a child with special needs.  I guess God was preparing me for what was ahead. Since then, I have substituted for DOD schools all over the South East while going to school part time obtaining my Master's Degree in English as a second language. I have always had a heart for working with special population's of students with unique and diverse backgrounds. Being apart of a multicultural background, ignited the spark to teach multicultural students. I have been teaching ESL for about 8 years in elementary through high school . I enjoy what I do and love learning along with my students.  I know that each and every one of them brings their own uniqueness to the table and that God has called me to cultivate and grow minds to help build a future of respected and productive citizens in society to better our world. I am excited about this year!
