Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership
Mr. John A. Bojescul
I am the youngest of four siblings, all of whom are wonderful sisters. We are a military “brat” family all born in Fort Hood, Texas at different times over a nine-year span. My parents were immigrants from both sides of the world; my mother was from Japan and my father was from Romania and Germany. Shortly after my birth, my father retired from twenty years of active duty service in the United States Army and moved our family to San Antonio where I have lived since then.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Finance from Trinity University, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I was commissioned as a Reserve Officer in the United States Army and completed my Officer Basic Course in Signal Communications and my Officer Advanced Course in Field Artillery. Prior to my career in teaching, I worked as a store manager for H.E.B.
I was a classroom teacher for seven years before becoming an assistant principal. I taught English, Speech, and Debate for five years at West Campus High School (South San Antonio ISD), and English for two years at Churchill High School (North East ISD). I was an assistant principal for four years at Garner Middle School and five years at Roosevelt High School. In 2013, I became the principal of Tejeda Middle School where I spent four years leading that community. In 2018, I returned to Garner to become our principal and have since led this wonderful community for six years.
I am excited and happy to be Garner’s principal and leader! Go Yearlings!
