Mrs. Tracy Thomas

Welcome! I am the Principles of Applied Engineering instructor for SETA.  I am also the Peer Assistance Leadership and Service Sponsor and Teen Leadership teacher for the campus.  This is my 20th year with Krueger and the KSAT/SETA program. I previously taught elementary science and math in Judson ISD.  However, wanting to teach a more advanced student, I obtained my middle school science certificate in 2004. I taught 6th grade science and rocketry for my first four years at KSAT. I moved to 8th grade KSAT in 2008...I really enjoy 8th grade! In 2015, I obtained my Technology Education certification for grades 6-12 which allows me to teach a high school credit course!

Having grown up right across the street from NASA-Johnson Space Center in Houston, I have had a long-standing interest in the field of aerospace science. I work closely with the Federal Aviation Administration and National Association of Rocketry to ensure safety at the numerous rocket launches throughout the year.

I am the coach for the Krueger Science UIL team, a mentor/supervisor for The American Rocketry Challenge, and a mentor/supervisor for Student Launch projects. My students and I have worked on numerous successful projects with NASA over the last 15 years. I have enjoyed presenting at the Challenger Learning Center's Annual Conference in Houston and at the Space Exploration Educators Conference at NASA - Johnson Space Center.
