Parent Message: March 22, 2024
I’m here at Blossom Athletic Center, where Littleton Gym has been converted into an incredible wall-to-wall art exhibit displaying your child’s art.
March is Youth Art Month. It’s tradition for NEISD Fine Arts to showcase colorful works of art from our students during the annual Young Masters and Night Gallery art exhibits. Both events are free to the public and all are welcome.
Young Masters took place this week, with hundreds of elementary families flooding the gym floor to admire the pieces on display. If you weren’t able to join us this week, I hope you can make it out to Night Gallery next Tuesday and Wednesday (March 26 & 27). Art from our middle and high school students will be on display from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Some of our middle and high school students will have their artwork up for public sale. These pieces will have a green sticker with a price listed on them. Those payments will go directly back to the student artists.
We’ll also be fundraising for our Memorial Art Scholarship fund. Patrons can purchase a “Red Dot” at just 25 cents apiece to place on their favorite art, giving you a chance to interact with our exhibit.
There will also be special showcases for this year's Memorial Art Scholarship winners. Make sure you look for incredible art from the eighth and twelfth graders listed on your screen.
12TH GRADE DIVISION:
1st Place - Autumn Howard, NESA, Teacher: Jessica Jones Gonzales
2nd Place - Martin Gutierrez, ISA, Teacher: Andrea Puentes
3rd Place - Porter Callender, Johnson, Teacher: Ryan Williams
8TH GRADE DIVISION:
1st Place - Elisa Ramirez, Lopez, Teacher: Melissa Volz
2nd Place - Michael Ramsey, Lopez, Teacher: Melissa Volz
3rd Place - Ian Anthony, Garner, Teacher: Claire Ganci
Combined, they were awarded nearly $5,000 in scholarship funds. A special congratulations to Autumn Howard of our North East School of the Arts (NESA) and Elisa Ramirez of Lopez Middle School, who finished 1st overall in their very competitive divisions.

Estoy aquí en Blossom Athletic Center, donde Littleton Gym se ha convertido en una increíble exhibición de arte de pared a pared donde se muestra el arte de su hijo(s).
Marzo es el Mes del Arte Juvenil. Es tradición que NEISD Fine Arts muestre coloridas obras de arte de nuestros estudiantes durante las exhibiciones anuales de arte de Young Masters y Night Gallery. Ambos eventos son gratuitos para el público en general y todos son bienvenidos.
Young Masters tuvo lugar esta semana, con cientos de familias de las primarias inundando el gimnasio para admirar las piezas en exhibición. Si no pudiste acompañarnos esta semana, espero que puedas asistir a la galería nocturna el próximo martes y miércoles (26 y 27 de marzo). El arte de nuestros estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria estará en exhibición de 5:30 a 7:30 p.m.
Algunos de nuestros estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria tendrán sus obras de arte a la venta al público. Estas piezas tendrán una pegatina verde con un precio que aparece en ellas. Esos pagos se devolverán directamente a los artistas estudiantes.
También recaudaremos fondos para nuestro fondo del Memorial Art Scholarship. Los mecenas pueden comprar un "punto rojo" a solo 25 centavos cada uno para colocar en su arte favorito, lo que te da la oportunidad de interactuar con nuestra exposición.
También habrá vitrinas especiales para los ganadores de la Beca de Arte Memorial de este año. Asegúrate de buscar el increíble arte de los estudiantes de octavo y duodécimo grado que aparecen en tu pantalla.

Combinados, recibieron casi $ 5,000 en fondos de becas. Felicitaciones especiales a Autumn Howard de nuestra Escuela de Artes del Noreste (NESA) y a Elisa Ramírez de la Escuela Secundaria López, que terminaron en1er lugar en sus divisiones las cuales son muy competitivas.
