On March 2, 1999, the Mill Springs Cabin at Bradley Middle School officially opened its doors. Tonight, we’re celebrating 25 years of Texas history, and you and your family are invited to the celebration.
The cabin itself was built over 200 years ago outside of Mill Springs, Kentucky. In 1998, it was transported log by log to its new home at Bradley, where thousands of young visitors have explored its grounds and exhibits, which include a one-room schoolhouse, a general store, chuck wagon and many more.
Come see this living history for yourself. Join us this evening from 5 to 7 p.m. as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Mill Springs Cabin. There is no cost of admission, and all are welcome.
There’s still time to register for the Family Engagement Training that’s taking place next Friday, March 8. This is the 22nd year that NEISD Family Engagement has hosted this free event for parents, grandparents, guardians and community members.
This one-day training provides families with valuable tools and knowledge to support your child’s academic and overall success. Classes will cover cyber safety, healthy eating habits, mental health and more. Visit the link on your screen (neisd.net/family) to register and browse the course offerings.
There are many ways you can show support for your neighborhood schools, whether it’s joining your campus PTA or sharing your time and talents as a volunteer. You can even purchase your next family vacation through the NEEF silent auction, and the funds go right back to support NEISD teachers and students.
Our North East Educational Foundation (NEEF) works hard to raise funds to support our teachers and students. One way we fundraise to support Student Impact Grants is through the Denim Diamonds and Dreams Gala tomorrow night (March 2) at Pedrotti’s Ranch.
