The deadline to apply to your NEISD magnet program of choice is just a few days away.
You have until Monday, February 5, to complete your Magnet Common Application for the 2024-2025 school year. Please note that the deadline for NESA differs, so if you are interested in our fine arts magnet, please visit the NESA website (neisd.net/nesa) for more information.
There truly is something for everyone at NEISD. Our full-day and partial-day magnets cover a variety of career paths that includes everything from coding to engineering, theater, aeronautics, welding, agriculture and more. Our students graduate ahead of the competition with industry-level certifications and college credits.
Preparations are underway to launch our newest magnet offering – MacArthur UNITED. This Early College High School will be located at MacArthur High School and officially opens in August. NEISD has partnered with San Antonio College to give students the opportunity to take college-level courses starting their freshman year. Students can earn up to 60 hours of college credit, an Associate of Arts in teaching or an Associate of Arts with a business focus.
The best part is MacArthur UNITED is completely free. Students do not pay for tuition, books, fees, or transportation, which amounts to almost $10,000 in cost savings.
