I want to start this message with a thank you. Since we launched our Staff Shout Outs Initiative (neisd.net/shoutouts) a few weeks ago, more than 2,000 compliments have been shared with NEISD employees.
A little gratitude goes a long way. I’ve had many staff members share with me how these ‘shout outs’ brighten their day. Thank you for embracing the positives and taking a moment to shine a light on a teacher or staff member who excels at their job. It means more than you know.
I’m also thankful for our NEISD Council of PTAs. Next Thursday, we’ll celebrate this dedicated group of volunteers at the annual Founders’ Day celebration at Johnson High School. NEISD will recognize our Texas Honorary Life Members, Extended Service, and National Lifetime Achievement award recipients.
If you want to get more involved in your child’s education but don’t know where to start – your campus PTA is a great option. Every NEISD campus has an active PTA and they’re always looking for new members.
You can also make a difference in your neighborhood school by volunteering. You can visit the link on your screen (neisd.net/volunteers) to start the process today.
