I hope you and your family had a restful holiday break. It was so great to see our students back in class this week, excited to learn and reunite with their classmates, teachers and school staff.

It may seem small on the surface, but something as simple as a ‘thank you’ can go a long way.

I’m excited to share that a new NEISD ‘Staff Shout Outs’ initiative is now live. This is meant to be a quick and convenient way to share a compliment and shine a positive light on a staff member who brightens someone’s day, inspires excellence, or provides first-class customer service.

So many of our staff members are worthy of a shout out. You may notice a teacher going out of their way to connect with your child. Maybe a front office staff member answers your phone call and makes you feel heard. Or a bus driver whose positive attitude always starts your child’s day on the right foot.

If you have a good experience and want to share a compliment with an NEISD employee, go ahead and visit the link on your screen (neisd.net/shoutouts) to highlight an educator, bus driver, custodian, principal and more. After you send your shout out, they’ll receive an email message congratulating them on a job well done.

I hope you’ll take advantage of this new avenue to offer some positivity and gratitude to the teachers and staff who work so hard to support our students and families.

Espero que usted y su familia hayan tenido unas vacaciones decembrinas placenteras. Fue genial ver a nuestros alumnos de vuelta en clase esta semana, emocionados de aprender y reunirse con sus compañeros de clase, maestros y personal escolar.

Puede parecer pequeño en la superficie, pero algo tan simple como un "gracias" puede hacer milagros.

Estoy emocionado de compartir que ya está en marcha una nueva iniciativa de NEISD ‘Staff Shout Outs’. Esta es una forma rápida y conveniente de hacerle un cumplido y poner en la luminaria a un miembro del personal que ilumina el día de alguien, inspira excelencia o brinda un servicio al cliente de primera calidad.

Muchos de los miembros de nuestro personal merecen un reconocimiento. Puede notar que un maestro se esfuerza por conectarse con su hijo. Tal vez un miembro del personal de recepción responda a tu llamada telefónica y te haga sentir escuchado. O un conductor de autobús cuya actitud positiva siempre hace que su hijo empiece el día con el pie derecho.

Si tiene una buena experiencia y desea compartir un cumplido con un empleado de NEISD, visite el enlace en su pantalla (neisd.net/shoutouts) para hacer destacar a un educador, conductor de autobús, intendente, director y muchos más. Después de enviar su agradecimiento, recibirán un mensaje de correo electrónico felicitándolos por un trabajo bien hecho.

Espero que aprovechen esta nueva vía para ofrecer algo de positividad y gratitud a los maestros y al personal que trabajan tan duro para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes y familias.
