NEISD’s School-Age Parenting Program partners with Texas State University

A new partnership between Texas State University and North East ISD is the first of its kind in San Antonio. NEISD’s School-Age Parenting Program assists students who are juggling pregnancy, parenthood and schoolwork. Young parents now have the opportunity to join the Strengthening Relationships/Strengthening Families program.

NEISD is the first district in San Antonio to offer this program thanks to a collaboration with Texas State University. Strengthening Relationships/Strengthening Families uses evidence-based curricula to promote healthy relationships and co-parenting skills. Some of the topics include conflict management, communication, problem-solving, parenting and more.

Strengthening Relationships/Strengthening Families is housed in Texas State’s School of Family and Consumer Sciences.
