Parent and volunteer, Melinda Cox, began the Smart Driving Club in 2012 and since then it has become the biggest and most popular student organization at Johnson High School. She has educated thousands of students on safe driving over these years, undoubtedly saved many lives, and has contributed to the development and passing of local ordinances banning cell phone use while driving, as well as a state law banning texting while driving. She is an amazing advocate for positive change.
