Derek created an online system for campus administration and personnel that provides better insight into the quantity and condition of all Chromebooks and iPads across the District. Dereck is a Senior Director in Technology Services, but this far exceeded any expectations placed on him. This system is a crucial part of our District’s Connected Classroom initiative, allowing students to claim a Chromebook or iPad for use at school and home. Derek provided campuses with an online method for efficiently assigning student devices. He spent over 60+ hours, after work and on weekends, developing this resource. Feedback from campuses has been overwhelmingly positive.
