Elise is being honored for establishing the “Bobcat Bistro” at Stone Oak Elementary School. It is a food cart that sells snacks and drinks to teachers at school and is run completely by the school’s ALE students. The students take all the orders, organize the orders and money, and then package and deliver them to staff every Friday. Elise spent countless hours outside of school creating the Bobcat Bistro. She has reached out to local stores for donations, created shirts, and bought packaging items. And, she is now teaching this concept to schools across the District. Elise has been selected to be a member of a committee to set up similar programs in our high schools. Elise has gone above and beyond to create life skills lessons that are incredibly valuable to our students.
