Ms. Kelley Young

Hello! I am the AP Calculus BC teacher and Instructional Dean for Mathematics and Science for ISA. After moving from Austin, Texas, when I was 8 years old, I attended Windcrest Elementary School, Ed White Middle School, and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in NEISD. After high school, I attended The University of Texas at Austin where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Education in Mathematics Education. While going to school at UT, I also worked at Applied Research Laboratories, and played soccer for the UT's varsity and club teams. To relax, I still play a lot of soccer, play with my border collies (Hamish and Tessie - who are learning to be awesome nosework dogs!), and I am an avid reader.
I began teaching at Lee in January of 1998 and I loved the students and the school. I was, at various times, a soccer coach, UIL coordinator, UIL mathematics coach, Critical Friends Group coach, and Instructional Dean of Mathematics. I joined ISA in the fall of 2016 and am very excited to be a part of this community of learners!
