Mr. Eric Cruz

Greetings, students and parents!  My name is Eric Cruz, and I am so excited for my second year at I.S.A.  I am most excited about getting to know your child, helping them improve their reading and writing skills, and helping them discover the transformative power of a learning community rooted in critical thinking, risk taking, and care for one another in AP Language and Composition and Creative Writing.  

I previously taught at Stephen F. Austin High School (2003-2009), KIPP University Prep (2009-2012), and Alamo Heights High School (2012-2022). 

An avid reader, a professional writer, and someone who really enjoys all forms of exercise, former students have described me as energetic, patient, and open-minded.   

It is going to be such a transformative and powerful year of learning for both your child and me--I can't wait to see how we expand our horizons!
