About the Teacher - Ms. Willa Rubin

Hello! My name is Willa Rubin, and I am starting my 3rd year as a teacher at ISA. I completed my undergraduate studies at Trinity University (Go Tigers!) in 2018, where I studied Environmental Studies and Political Science. I also received my Master of Arts in Teaching from Trinity University in 2022. I am excited about teaching electives and continuing my work as the MUNSA co-sponsor this year. Both of these roles allow me to support students as they discover and grow their passions, creatively express their learning and leadership, and work collaboratively to approach new topics and understandings. In the classroom, I work to provide well-researched, diverse, and interactive learning experiences that urge students to approach content from various angles. I love working with ISA students, as they jump head first into every experience. 

I am originally from Georgetown, Texas, but I have lived in San Antonio since 2015. Some of my passions/hobbies include singing (I am a member of the San Antonio Choral Society and recently performed at Carnegie Hall!), camping and hiking (generally being outdoors), *tastefully and intellectually* watching reality t.v., crocheting, pickleball, film, and exploring San Antonio!
