• Apply and Enroll to ISA

Discover everything needed to know about admission to ISA, including the application timeline, lottery admission process, and enrollment requirements. Whether someone is just learning about ISA or ready to apply, admissions is here to guide them through each step. The goal is to make the application process simple, supportive, and welcoming. As students take these first steps toward developing a lifelong appreciation for global cultures, ISA is committed to nurturing potential to thrive in an interconnected world.

Our ISA magnet school program is available to high school students across San Antonio, regardless of school district boundaries, however based on their physical address at the time of application, students are sorted into two pools - in-district and out-of-district. With limited space, each grade level can only accommodate 125 students. For an application to be considered complete, applicants must respond to three short answer questions. This streamlined process allows ISA to thoroughly assess applicants to ensure an incoming class of engaged, motivated students.

    Application Process

  • Step One: Complete the NEISD Magnet Application

    9th Graders

Incoming 9th graders complete the online application by the February deadline with accurate contact information. Incorrect addresses may lead to rescinded acceptance.

Siblings must submit their own complete application to receive automatic acceptance.

If selected in the lottery, attend the March orientation to enroll.

    10th and 11th Graders

Rising 10th and 11th grade transfer applicants should submit the separate digital transfer application between March and the June deadline.

  • Step Two:

    9th Graders

If selected in the lottery, attend the March orientation to enroll.

    Notice of Acceptance

Acceptance and enrollment are conditional upon all steps being followed with valid documentation.

Acceptance notifications are sent in February via email.

If the quantity of applications exceeds program capacity, notification will be sent and students will be placed on a waiting list. As space becomes available, enrollment invitations will be sent to students meeting admission criteria.
