Welcome to Mr. Mendez's  class. This will be my 23rd year as a teacher.  I come from a family of teachers as my aunt, sister, and brother- in- law, are all in education.   I have a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).  Go Runners!  I have certifications in 1st-6th bilingual/esl as well as 4-8 English/Language Arts and Social Studies 6-12th and bilingual 7-12th   I have taught at several districts across town and at different grade levels from 2nd grade to 8th grade ESL and Social Studies, both English and Dual.   This will be an exciting year that will be lots of fun, but lots of hard work as well, as I will be teaching 6th grade SS Dual and 7th Tx History Dual.  I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.  Mr. Mendez
