Burnet

Burnet has been known as the "Bluebonnet Capital of Texas" since 1981 and the town even has a bluebonnet festival every year in the second week of April. The festival takes place in downtown Burnet from April 11 to April 14 and over the four-day event guests can expect live music, food, drinks, the bluebonnet festival grand parade, and a wildflower show.

Some ideal locations to see flowers are at Haley-Nelson Park, which has flowers near the back parking lot, and the Burnet Municipal Airport, according to the Burnet Chamber of Commerce website.

Fredericksburg

Whether visitors are just passing through town or are looking for a place to grab a glass of wine, there are bluebonnet flowers to be seen all over town. One place where you are sure to find bluebonnets along with other blooming flowers is Wildseed Farms.

The seed shop has a wine-tasting room and a gift shop, along with massive areas filled with flowers. Walk through the butterfly garden, the fields of wildflowers, and see the acres of bluebonnets. Customers can buy a pack of bluebonnets seeds starting at $3.45. It is free for people to wander the Wildseed Farms at 100 Legacy Drive, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.

 

Marble Falls

It's almost impossible to not see bluebonnet flowers heading through Marble Falls. In fact, people can drive along the Bluebonnet Trail, which starts at Johnson Park and Marble Falls Cemetery and continues to Longhorn Cavern State Park. The drive is roughly 35 miles and takes less than an hour to complete.

After visitors take some time to smell the flowers, they can visit the famous Blue Bonnet Cafe where guests can eat all-day breakfast plates like the two eggs with chicken-fried steak for $12.79, or a whole pie for $18.79, according to the Blue Bonnet Cafe website. The cafe has also been named one of the most legendary in the South.
