NEISD vehicles are safer thanks to new grant

Safety first!

North East ISD received a grant in the amount of $9,405 today from the 2023 Texas Political Subdivisions (TPS) Safety Grant Program.

Thefts of catalytic converters can be costly. The funds will be used to purchase and install 19 catalytic converter anti-theft equipment, or “CAT Clamps,” in our Ford F-150 pickup trucks.

This is a deterrent to thieves who are looking to cash in by stealing catalytic converters in our community.

James Borrego and Jason Saul, members of NEISD’s Risk Management and Safety Department, accepted the grant.
