Look for something special this month in your paycheck.
This June, the North East ISD Board of Trustee approved the largest salary increase for NEISD staff in more than 20 years. They also included a retention incentive for eligible employees.
Full-time teachers and librarians will receive $1,230. All other eligible employees, including KIN assistants, will receive a one-time supplement of 2% of their annualized pay grade midpoint. The minimum supplement payment will be $500.
To qualify, employees must have a hire date on or before Oct. 1, be in good standing and expected to complete the 2023 fall semester. All other temporary and substitute employees are ineligible for the supplement. You should expect to receive this payment in your regularly scheduled pay check. Friday, November 17 for monthly employees and Friday, November 24 for bi-weekly employees.
