Access the BYOD Network with an Android iPhone

Android Logo Android Phones and Tablets must be running Android 9.0 (Pie) or higher. Devices must connect to a 5 Ghz WiFi connection as well as support 802.1x.

IMPORTANT: Every Android phone manufacturer (Samsung, Google, etc.) lists the following settings in a different order. If you see other settings that are not listed below…just leave them blank.

    1. Tap the Settings icon.
    2. Tap Wi-Fi under Wireless & networks.
    3. Select a WiFi network.
      • Choose NEISD BYOD.
      • If you do not see the networks shown, ensure that your WiFi is turned on.
    4. Configure the WiFi connection using the following settings:
      • Security: 802.1x EAP
      • EAP Method: PEAP
      • Phase-2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
      • CA Certificate: Use system certificates
      • Domain: neisd.net
      • Identity: Your full NEISD email address
      • Anonymous identity: Not needed, leave blank
      • Password: Your NEISD password
      • You may also need to specify Advanced options
        • Metered: Detect automatically
        • Proxy Settings: None
        • IP Settings: DHCP
