On April 26, Roan Forest Elementary School hosted its 4th Annual Cultural Synergy Event. The day is filled with activities highlighting the unique diversity and different cultures within the school’s community. Students were overjoyed to tour the gymnasium filled with creative booths set up by parent volunteers. The event also featured culinary tastings from different countries and the UTSA Institute of Asian Culture’s origami and Japanese writing demonstration.
Author Carolina Quiroga, a Latin American storyteller, enchanted all in attendance with her compelling visuals and passion for her stories. Roan Forest was proud to put the school’s Sonido group in the spotlight as they performed for their community. The event was filled with a variety of fun fashion, as students and staff were encouraged to wear clothing that represents their own culture.
