Krueger students partake in expansive Civil War lesson

Krueger Middle School eighth grade students spent time learning about the Civil War by visiting a variety of exhibits in their history classrooms. Several key aspects to the war were covered during the lesson. Students soaked in a wealth of information regarding Civil War weapons and spycrafts, nineteenth century fashions, how the war affected children, pets, the life and death of Abraham Lincoln, and about the lives of African-Americans before, during, and after the war. The dynamic learning experience didn’t end there as students interacted with reproductions of cipher wheels, nineteenth century toys, and other items.
