A new copy of As Good as Anybody, by Richard Michelson, is now in every North East ISD elementary library thanks to a generous donation from the San Antonio chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
As Good as Anybody tells the real-life story of two men, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Abraham Joshua Heschel, who transformed their parallel experiences of discrimination into a mission of social justice as they walked together during the historic March on Washington.
Members of Alpha Phi Alpha stopped by Olmos Elementary School on Friday, March 26, to read to students and talk about the book’s message. Thank you, Alpha Phi Alpha, for donating 46 copies for NEISD students to read and learn from.
