H-E-B thanks NEISD educators in a big way!

“This means so much,” said third-grade teacher Kaci Shaver. “This makes us feel so supported and just loved throughout our community.”

The North East ISD community voted Bulverde Creek Elementary and Roan Forest Elementary School to be a part of H-E-B’s Excellence in Education Texas Loves Teachers Tour.

It’s an annual event meant to thank teachers for everything they do.

“We heard last week that they were coming, and we’ve been looking forward to it,” said third-grade teacher Sydney Arnett. “We felt really lucky and special to be one of the schools to have H-E-B come visit us.”

As part of the exciting event, H-E-B provided teachers with lunch and a goodie bag full of snacks and other things teachers can use.

“I have been a part of this event for over a decade, and it’s one of my favorite events of the year,” said Jennifer Mueller, who helped H-E-B put on the event. “Since we aren’t able to gather this year, H-E-B wanted to divert those funds to celebrate teachers this way.”

H-E-B diverted $2,500 of those funds into gift cards, which were awarded to randomly-drawn Bulverde Creek staff.

“It was a wonderful experience,” said Bulverde Creek Principal Michelle McCoy. “I am beyond excited for my staff to receive this recognition!”
