NEISD Board of Trustees send letter to Gov. Abbott, advocate for more flexibility

The North East ISD Board of Trustees is committed to providing a safe learning environment for its more than 70,000 students, families and teachers across San Antonio. On Tuesday, July 22, NEISD board members sent a letter to Governor Greg Abbott asking for more flexibility in determining the best path to re-open our community.

“We are asking for more flexibility when it comes to making decisions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Shannon Grona, Board of Trustees President. “We are working hard to ensure the safety of our children and staff while also ensuring they receive quality instruction. These are difficult times, but together we will navigate the challenges ahead.”
