Longs Creek Elementary School Music Teacher Ruth Garcia is always looking for new ways to give her students an experience like no other. So, she called the San Antonio Spurs organization to see if her All-Stars singing group, could perform the National Anthem. It turns out the National Anthem was already spoken for, so they offered her students a 90-second performance before the Anthem, and she took it.
The Longs Creek All-Stars will be performing their school song before the Spurs vs. Utah Jazz game on Jan. 29.
Garcia says the team is ready and very excited.
“The All-Stars are excited about singing on the basketball court and representing Longs Creek Elementary and the NEISD community! Our families are excited about the opportunity for their students!”
Again, the game is Wednesday night, Jan. 29 at the AT&T Center.
The All-Stars will be performing at about 6:30 p.m.
