Navy Officer surprises sister at MacArthur

Thursday, Dec. 13, was no ordinary day for MacArthur High School freshman Isabella Ramos. When she walked into the principal’s office her brother, Petty Officer Alexander Ramos, was there waiting for her. Alexander graduated from MacArthur in 2014 before enlisting in the U.S. Navy.

In 2017, he completed training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois. Petty Officer Ramos has been attending Nuclear Engineering training in Charleston, South Carolina, and Isabella hasn't seen him since June. His trip home was a total surprise, and it was reflected in the joy on Isabella’s face.
