MacTEACH students create Angels for Alzheimer’s project

MacArthur High School students involved in the MacTEACH peer tutoring and outreach program are giving back through a new service project. Angels for Alzheimer’s gives MacTEACH students the opportunity to spend time with Alzheimer’s patients at Franklin Memory Care. Over the Thanksgiving break, students visited with patients and shared homemade baked goods with them.

“Everyone has a desire to be known,” said Delaney Raner, MacTEACH junior. “I hope to return soon to continue to let these patients know they are known, loved and valued.”

Angels for Alzheimer’s allows students to have meaningful conversations while learning more about service and mental health.
