The Texas Association of Journalism Educators honored three students from Roosevelt High School during the 2018 Fall Fiesta Convention. On Saturday, Oct. 20, six Roosevelt students competed against dozens of other students from across the state in writing, photography and editorial illustration categories. In all, three Roosevelt students earned awards from the judges.

Nathan Smith – Honorable Mention, On-Site Photography (Category: Energy)
Destiny Carter – Award of Excellence, On-Site Photography (Category: Hot)
