Two North East ISD high schools benefit from AT&T donation

Students in the Communities in Schools (CIS) program at Roosevelt and LEE high schools will profit from even more resources thanks to a donation from AT&T. On Tuesday, Sept. 25, AT&T announced a donation of $1,000,000 to CIS. This generous contribution will benefit five San Antonio high schools, including LEE and Roosevelt.

The funds will provide additional support for students involved in the CIS program. Roosevelt Assistant Principal Lori Murach says the donation will help students looking beyond high school.

“We are so excited about the new services this donation will provide students on our campus,” said Murach. “Now we’ll be able to really focus and individualize to meet our student’s needs, particularly those with a college focus, as well as the workforce readiness program.”

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian G. Gottardy, Learning Support Services Executive Director Colleen Bohrmann, and Roosevelt Assistant Principals Lori Murach and Joseph Olivarri represented North East ISD when the donation was announced by San Antonio City Councilman Rey Saldaña.
