On Tuesday, Sept. 11, JROTC members at Johnson High School opened a Patriot Day ceremony honoring the lives lost 17 years ago in a terrorist attackwith the presentation of colors in the auditorium. Veterans, students and guests stood to honor the flag and take part in a moment of silence while the Johnson choir sang the National Anthem. A guest speaker went over the tragic events that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001 before recognizing veterans, active military members and first responders in the audience.
