Students from LEE High School JROTC cooled off this summer at JBSA Recreation Park at Canyon Lake. The August outing was meant to provide team building and leadership activities for cadets ahead of the new school year.
Some of the activities included swimming, beach volleyball, and paddle boating. Battalion commander Jackie Medellin said the outing was vital to helping establish leadership and trust within the group.
“The trip to the lake helps us create new friendships and builds trust while having fun,” said Medellin. “This helped us to learn how to work together as a team.”
