MacArthur dedicates Fuschak Field

The MacArthur community celebrated the achievements of former Athletic Coordinator and head football coach Van Fuschak on August 23. Fuschak arrived at MacArthur in 1986 as an assistant coach and served as head football coach for 19 seasons before retiring in 2011.

The festivities opened with a ceremony dedicating the campus football field as Fuschak Field. Principal Pete Martinez introduced guest speaker and retired NEISD Athletic Director Jerry Comalander, who expressed his well wishes and memories of Fuschak’s tenure at MacArthur High School. During the ceremony, Coach Fuschak expressed his gratitude for the gesture and shared the moment with his family by his side.

Congratulations Coach Fuschak and thank you for everything you have done for our students and community!
