Olmos Elementary School is getting into the World Cup spirit

Olmos Elementary School is getting into the World Cup spirit and is hard at work during the summer months to achieve their ‘goals.’

The Samba FC Soccer Club Semi-Pro Soccer Team was invited to motivate summer school students, along with fifth-grade students who are taking their STAAR tests. The coaches and players were hoping to have a positive impact and leave a meaningful impression on the students.

After speaking, the players handed out autographed soccer balls that were donated from the organization and visited classrooms to answer questions. The team joined students during lunch while the head coach gave a motivational speech on working hard to achieve their goals and reminded them to never give up on their dreams. His message also included the importance of pursuing their education and maintaining their grades in order to create opportunities for their future.

The future is looking bright for these students!
