Congratulations Graduates!
Four NETS students in our inaugural class of Project SEARCH have just graduated from the program.
Nathan Conrad, Robert Cade Cox, Benjamin Guadarrama and Daimon Solis recently completed a nearly yearlong work-study at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital - Alamo Heights.
"We were fortunate because of the difference these graduates made in the lives of our patients," said Sherry Fraser, President of Christus Santa Rosa Hospital - Alamo Heights.
During Project SEARCH, our students honed their job interviewing and resume writing skills. They worked in various areas of the hospital, working on their social skills and learning how to do tasks in the kitchen, central supply, and other areas. They also worked on budgeting, health, safety, and travel training with North East ISD teachers and mentors at Christus Santa Rosa.
These graduates are part of NEISD’s NETS program. NETS stands for North East Transition Services, and it helps students between the ages of 18-21 with disabilities who seek the support skills necessary for adult life.
Two of our Project SEARCH graduates have already embarked on their professional journeys, securing employment in fields they are passionate about. The other two are eagerly awaiting the outcomes of their interviews, filled with hope and excitement for the future.
Project SEARCH is a partnership between NEISD, Christus Santa Rosa Hospital - Alamo Heights, Texas Workforce Commission-Vocational Rehabilitation Services, PCSI, Molina Healthcare and AACOG.
