Lopez Middle School sixth grader Adya Tripathi is on her way to nationals #theNEISDway!
Adya recently competed at the 2024 Texas Science and Engineering Fair, where she won 1st overall in the Environmental Engineering category. She topped 20,000 competitors and earned the right to move onto the national contest in Washington, DC.
Her project was 'Stabilizing Soil to Reduce Potential Building Foundation Movement by Using Sustainable Additives.'
"I am thankful for my science teacher and sponsor, Mr. Joseph Porter, and mentor, Mrs. Kimberly Neville, a former science teacher and long-term substitute teacher at Lopez Middle School," said Adya.
